Here is two pictures showing Speedy's -63 standard pretty much like it was when bought. It is a sunroof-equipped standard-model VW.

Since then, a lot of work (plus money) has been spent. Porsche 356C disc brakes were installed in front and Golf GTI brakes rear. Also the engine is not the 1200cc as it used to be.

Read on, you'll see some pictures taken during the project.

This engine project was actually done during 98/99 and is in the car now, but still waiting to see the stroker running ok. It has been tested a couple of times already during summers -99 and 2000, but with some problems.

This about 100hp engine was set up to get some motivation... Looks nice anyway.

The body was repainted. Pictures also show the Fuchs wheels and the Porsche 356C -disc brakes. They rule!

Here are two pictures taken by Timo Kirkkomäki in VW Open 2000. This is quite the look that it was until the car got sold Autumn 2002.

On the left, Okrasa crank and 215mm flywheel, both balanced separately with zero tolerance.

This Okrasa crank actually is the part that eventually ended Speedy's hobby with VW bugs so far. One of the rod bearings in the crank broke into pieces and it can't be fixed. End of story for that engine... and end of motivation....
